Good Morning Families,

As the school year comes to a close, the First Grade team would like to remind you of some resources that were given out during the year that make great at-home practice tools. The first resource is the Read It, Build It, Write It mat. This resources is great for practicing sight words or spelling words in a hands on way. The second resources is the Make Ten Mat. Using a deck of cards, this resource helps students become fluent in making ten, an important addition strategy. This resource also helps students develop their number sense. We strongly encourage you and your student to use these activities at home this summer to continue your student’s learning!
