Good Morning Families,
Yesterday was a successful day of digital learning. Today and moving forward I have assigned a certain amount of time to spend on each activity. Therefore, please keep in mind the amount of time your students is spending on each app. I know that some student’s favor some activities more than others. However, it is important that each subject area is getting the appropriate amount of learning time.
If you and your students decide that they would like to spend more than the assigned time on an activity, that is completely acceptable. However, please note that all activities for the day should still be completed.
Below you will find the activities to promote your student’s learning for Day 2 of Digital Learning:
Phonics: Headsprout: Please log into Learning A-Z through clever.com. Please practice your phonics skills for a minimum of 15 minutes.
Reading: Please login to Tumblebooks through clever.com. Read and listen to The Paper Bag Princess by Robert Munsch. Then, click Quizzes and take the full quiz to practice reading for understanding. This should take a minimum of 10 minutes.
Writing: Character Feelings- Please complete the attached reading reflection on the character Princess Elizabeth from the Paper Bag Princess. This should take a minimum of 10 minutes.

Social Studies:Studies Weekly- Log into Studies Weekly through clever.com. Read Week 5 Thomas Jefferson and complete the test. This should take a minimum of 10 minutes.
** Note: Please do not go ahead in Studies Weekly and complete other Weeks that are not assigned for the day. The First Grade Team has assigned certain Weeks to complete for each day that we are not in school.
Lastly, please make sure that when you are done with your Digital Learning activities for the day that you log off of clever (the top right corner). When we checked activity at the end of the day it showed that there were some students on-line. However, no work was showing completed. Thank you for your ongoing flexibility and support!
